住友生命保険は１２日、東日本巨大地震と長野県北部の地震の被災者に対し、死亡保険金や入院・通院給付金を全額支払う特別措置を実施すると発表した。保険契約には、大規模地震などの場合に保険金支払いなどを免除または削減できる「免責条項」があるが、今回は適用しない。大手生保各社も同様の措置を検討する見通しだ。
